Rules that are actually enforced
Follow farming is the defining problem of every exchange community. Ours is moderated for it.
The trade is simple: you follow people who want followers, and they follow you back. The rooms exist so that everyone in the channel wants the same thing at the same time, which is why the follow-back rate in a live server is far above anything a hashtag produces. Four habits cover almost all of it.
Join and read the pins
The invite above opens the server. Each F4F channel has its format and its rules pinned at the top; those pins win over anything written here.
Follow first, then post
Scroll the handles posted before yours and follow a batch at a normal speed. Then post your own handle with one line about what you post and a promise to follow back.
Close every loop fast
Follow back everyone who follows you, within the hour if you can, and say so in the channel. Regulars are just people with a visible history of closing loops.
Keep the follows you took
Taking a follow-back and unfollowing later is follow farming. It's the one thing that gets you removed from the rooms.

No, and no legitimate service does. Delivering to a public account needs your public username and nothing else. Anyone in the server asking for a password is a scammer, and you should report them.
