Instagram Saved Posts: Where to Find Them and Who Can See Them
Where your saved posts and Reels are, how collections work, and who can see what you save. Creators see a save count in Insights, never names.
Your saved posts are in a private Saved section on your own profile. Instagram's help center, as Google shows it, says "Only you can see the posts you've saved. When you save someone's post, they're not able to tell that you've saved it." A creator with a Business or Creator account sees how many people saved a post, but never who.
We checked Instagram's help pages through Google's results and read the top guides on October 22, 2026.
Where are saved posts on Instagram?
| Step | What to tap |
|---|---|
| 1 | Your profile picture, bottom right |
| 2 | The menu, top right |
| 3 | Saved |
| 4 | All posts, or a collection |
Instagram Help Center as Google showed it, and Guiding Tech's guide, October 22, 2026.
Instagram's own steps begin with "Tap Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right." Then you "Tap more options Menu in the top right." Guiding Tech describes the rest. Tap "the three-line icon" at the top right of your profile, then select Saved.
Saved Reels sit in the same place. Everything you save lands in All posts first.
How do collections work?
Collections are folders inside Saved. Guiding Tech puts it simply: "You can organize your saved posts using collections, which are essentially folders." You can keep one for recipes, one for places and so on.
There's one kind of collection that isn't only yours. Save a post inside a chat, and a new collection appears. Guiding Tech says it "can be seen by you and the friend in whose chat you created the collection." Kontentino adds that nobody else can browse your saves "unless you create a collaborative collection and invite them."
Can people see what you save on Instagram?
| Who | What they see |
|---|---|
| You | Every post you saved |
| The post's owner | A save count, no names |
| Your followers | Nothing |
| A shared collection | The friends you invited |
Instagram Help Center as Google showed it, Kontentino and wikiHow, October 22, 2026.
No. Saving is private, and Instagram doesn't send a notification. Guiding Tech says "Instagram doesn't notify the other person when you save or unsave a post."
Instagram's help for Threads says the same: "Only you can view the posts you've saved."
Can you see who saved your Instagram post?
Not by name. wikiHow, as Google shows it, says "There is no way to see which users saved your Instagram posts." A Business or Creator account shows the count. "You can use your Insights to see how many people saved your posts."
Kontentino quotes Adam Mosseri, head of Instagram, from a July 2026 Q&A. "They won't know that you specifically saved that reel, but they can see that somebody did."
Be careful with apps that promise more. One of the top results for this question recommends "a private Instagram viewer app." Those can't open private accounts, as our guide to anonymous story viewers explains, and some ask for your login.
What do saves do for a post?
For the person who posted it, a save matters. Instagram wrote in 2023: "The most important actions we predict in Explore include likes, saves, and shares." So saving a post you like is a quiet way to help it.
