How do you change your TikTok profile picture?
TikTok's help center gives five steps:
- "In the TikTok app, tap Profile at the bottom."
- "Tap Edit profile."
- "Tap Change photo."
- "Select Take photo or Upload photo from your device."
- "Crop your selected photo or video, then tap Save."
That last step mentions video for a reason. TikTok's help page is titled "adding a profile photo or video," so the same menu covers both.
On a computer, it works much the same way. Go to tiktok.com, click your profile icon, then Profile, then Edit profile. Social Age Checker's guide says to "Click Change photo (pen icon)" from there.
Can you remove your TikTok profile picture?
Usually not with one tap. A January 2026 tutorial warns that "TikTok doesn't always show a direct 'remove' option." The common fix is to replace it with something plain.
