Is Kicksta a scam? It's a real San Diego company, but it needs your Instagram password, its trial turns paid and refunds are case by case. Read first.
Is Kicksta a scam? Kicksta is a real Instagram growth service. Its terms say Galvin and Mathews Trade LLC runs it from San Diego, and its domain dates from July 2017. It does what it sells: it logs into your account and engages with people in the audiences you pick. The warning signs sit in its own pages and terms. It needs your Instagram password, its free trial turns into a paid plan, and its terms promise neither real followers nor a refund. On Trustpilot, it scored 1.9 out of 5 from 628 reviews on October 23, 2026, as a rival growth service read it.
We read Kicksta's pricing page, homepage, reviews page and terms through our server on October 22, 2026, and three rival reviews and Google's results on October 23. We didn't start a trial or give Kicksta a password. We run Hclout, which sells followers too, so weigh this the way you'd weigh any seller.
Is Kicksta legit?
As a business, yes. Its terms name the company and a San Diego street address. ScamAdviser's automatic check rates kicksta.co "Likely Safe," and it also says the site "has received mainly negative reviews."
Kicksta is open about its method. "Every day, Kicksta engages with profiles in those audiences at a natural pace, so the people behind them notice you," its homepage says. Its own reviews page calls it "the Instagram automation tool Kicksta." Whether that's worth your money comes down to the seven points below.
What is Kicksta's Trustpilot rating?
Trustpilot's site rules keep our reader out, so we use three rival growth services that read the page in October 2026. Each one sells a service of its own, and we don't link them.

Trustpilot's score for kicksta.co, as each rival reported it. SupGrowth's line comes from Google's preview of its page.
The reviews split sharply. Outfame counted 41% one-star and 35% five-star reviews. Virallized says the same complaints keep coming back: followers who never engage, spam-looking accounts, trouble canceling and slow support. It describes two one-star reviews from October 2026, too. One reviewer "lost more than 3,000 followers in a single week," and another said their account was "repeatedly restricted and locked." Kicksta replied to both, it says.
Kicksta's own pages tell a brighter story, and its numbers don't match. Its homepage counts "235 five-star reviews." Its reviews page shows a "4,67/5 rating" from "3,273+ verified reviews," without saying where they're from.
What are the warning signs?
1. It needs your Instagram password
Kicksta's FAQ answers "Yes" and says "Instagram has no official way for a service to engage on your behalf without it." Its terms add that by sharing your login, "You consent to a login from one of Our hubs, which may be in a different geographical region."
2. Instagram's rules point the other way
Instagram's Terms of Use, as Google shows them, rule out "accessing or collecting information in an automated way without our express permission." In 2018, Instagram said it would start "removing inauthentic likes, follows and comments from accounts that use third-party apps to boost their popularity." Kicksta's terms leave that risk with you. The company "is not responsible for any restrictions" Instagram puts on your account, they say.
3. The free trial turns into a paid plan
Monthly and quarterly plans start with a 7-day trial, and you'll need a card for it. The terms say the trial "will automatically convert into an active, paid subscription" unless you cancel before it ends. Yearly plans start paid.
4. Canceling runs on deadlines
The dashboard lets you cancel only in the 48 hours before renewal, the terms say. At other times you go through support, and requests "must be submitted at least 8 hours before" the next billing date. Without a confirmation email or a live chat confirmation from support, the plan stays active and renews.
5. Refunds are case by case, and longer plans get none
"Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis," the terms say, and quarterly and yearly plans "are non-refundable." The growth guarantee on the pricing page is a longer trial: "If you don't see growth in your first 7 days, we extend your trial." The one review we could read in full, on SmartCustomer from November 2025, says support offered "only a 50 percent refund and the rest as forced credits" on a yearly plan.
6. No promise of real followers
"Are the followers real people? Yes," the homepage says. The terms say something else: "We do not guarantee the number of followers You will receive and if they will be real individuals."
7. Boost packages are a different product
Paying members can also buy "Boost Network packages." The terms say these followers "are not based on targeted engagement criteria," and that all sales "are final and non-refundable once delivery has commenced." A chargeback over one leads to "immediate cancellation" of your plan and "permanent account blacklisting," the terms say.

Can Kicksta get your account banned?
It can put your account at risk, and its terms leave the outcome with you. Instagram's help pages say that when it detects inauthentic activity, "you may see an error message that says, 'Try again later.'" Virallized, which sells a rival service, says Kicksta "keeps its action volumes conservative." Still, one of the October reviews it describes reported a locked account. We didn't test Kicksta, so we can't say how often that happens.
How do you cancel Kicksta or ask for a refund?
- On a trial, cancel before day 7 ends, or the plan turns paid.
- On a paid plan, cancel from Settings in the dashboard during the 48 hours before renewal, or write to support at least 8 hours before billing.
- Keep the confirmation email or chat. The terms say the plan stays active without one.
- Ask support for a refund in writing. Monthly plans get a case-by-case look, and quarterly and yearly ones aren't refunded.
- Disconnect Kicksta and change your Instagram password, since you shared it.
