SubPals Review: Is It Safe, and What Is CollabPals?

SubPals no longer works the way most old reviews describe. On October 22, 2026, its sign-in and start buttons pointed to CollabPals, a credit exchange you join with your Google account. There, you earn credits by promoting other creators and spend them to get promoted. SubPals also sells creator "shoutouts" for $49, $149 or $499, and it promises "real creators, not guaranteed numbers." Whether that's safe comes down to YouTube's rules, which say a channel can be taken down for methods used "by you or someone you've hired."

We read SubPals' homepage, buy and free pages, terms and refund policy through our own server on October 22, 2026. We didn't sign in, join CollabPals or buy anything.

CollabPals works through Google sign-in. Its own robots file says member pages "bounce a signed-out visitor to the Google sign-in screen." SubPals says more than 379,000 creators have joined. We didn't sign in, so we can't say what account access it asks for.

The shoutout plans are Starter at $49, Growth at $149 and Accelerator at $499. For Starter, SubPals says small creators in your niche mention you "in video comments and community posts." It guarantees "real creators, not guaranteed numbers."

YouTube's policy says it "doesn't allow anything that artificially increases the number of views, likes, comments, or other metrics." It adds: "If you hire someone to promote your channel, their decisions may impact your channel." A takedown can follow "whether it's an action taken by you or someone you've hired." The policy names sub4sub, offering to subscribe "only if they subscribe to your channel," as one example.

SubPals now warns against sub4sub itself. Its homepage says sub4sub swaps lose "60-80%" of subscribers within the first week, citing its own platform data. It also says 379,000 creators have used CollabPals "without a single reported channel strike." We can't check either figure. YouTube's rules don't promise anyone zero risk.

What do SubPals' terms and refund policy say?

Less than you'd expect. Both took effect November 29, 2024, and both read like the rules for an AI writing tool. The terms say "All content generated using SubPals is fully owned by you" and mention "third-party AI technologies." Neither one mentions YouTube, subscribers or shoutouts.

Sitejabber lists SubPals as "Unclaimed," and 82% of its ratings are five stars. Its newest review is three years old. ResellerRatings' page title counts 2,340 reviews, the figure SubPals cites, but its rating loads by script and we couldn't read it. ScamAdviser's automatic check says "we think subpals.com is legit and safe for consumers to access," and notes a hidden WHOIS owner and low traffic. SubPals' homepage also says "Rated 4.8 out of 5 on Reviews.io," which we didn't check.

Half of Google's top 10 for "subpals review" is from 2023 or earlier. They include a 2016 Quora answer, a 2019 Reddit thread and two YouTube videos from 2020 and 2021. One of those is titled "SUBPALS IS A SCAM !" and is no longer available.

Does SubPals still give free subscribers?
