What Happened to Follow Adder? What the Archive Shows
Follow Adder's site sold its Instagram bot until late 2024. What the archived pages show, what it cost, where followadder.com goes now, and what replaced it.
Follow Adder was a desktop bot for Instagram, and it kept selling far longer than most write-ups say. The Internet Archive's copies of followadder.com show its sales page live through October 3, 2024, with plans from $24 a month. By November 8, 2024 the page was almost empty. From February 2025 it showed a WordPress error, and today the address forwards to another Instagram growth service. We found no shutdown notice. Tracxn lists the company as "deadpooled."
We read the archived pages and the live address through our server on October 23, 2026, along with the domain registry and Google's results. We didn't download or run the app. We run Hclout, which sells followers, so weigh this the way you'd weigh any seller. An earlier version of this page said Follow Adder shut down on April 19, 2022. The archived site shows it selling well after that, and we've corrected it.
Quick Answer: Follow Adder's site went dark between October 2024 and February 2025, and the address now forwards elsewhere. The best Follow Adder alternative is HCLOUT, which runs nothing on your account, needs no password and has a free tier to test first.

Internet Archive captures of followadder.com, and our own read on October 23, 2026. The archive caught the site about once a month, so these dates are bounds.
The last live version, dated August 14, 2024, opened with "Unlock Instagram Views in 2024 with Followadder!" The November capture loaded little more than an ad script. By February 2025 the page read "There has been a critical error on this website." The domain itself is still registered, through June 26, 2027.
How did Follow Adder work?
It was software you ran on your own computer. Its 2024 page said "Followadder is a Mac and Windows desktop application and needs to be running at all times to work in automation mode." It followed and unfollowed people, liked their posts, commented and sent direct messages. You picked targets by hashtag, location or another account's followers. Its pitch was that it ran "from your ip address as though you are at home performing the actions." Its FAQ called it "both effective and safe."
Instagram had already said where it stood. In November 2018 it announced it would remove "inauthentic likes, follows and comments from accounts that use third-party apps to boost their popularity."
How much did Follow Adder cost?
| Plan | A month | Instagram profiles |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | $24 | 1 |
| Premium | $48 | 10 |
| Pro | $94 | 25 |
Follow Adder's archived homepage, the same from March 2022 to September 2024.
In 2022 the page said "Pay as you go. 14 Days Money Back Guarantee. Cancel Anytime." By 2024 each plan read "Cancel at anytime" and promised "Free 24/7 Online Support." Our earlier version of this page listed plans from $49.99 to $425 with a six-month lock-in. We found no archived page that shows those.
Where does followadder.com go now?
To another Instagram growth service. On October 23, 2026, every version of the address forwarded to that service's homepage with a "?ref=" referral code in the link. The Internet Archive caught the same forward in March 2026. We can't tell from a forward who holds the name now. If you're looking for Follow Adder itself, it isn't there.
CNET's download site still lists a Mac trial of the app. Its maker has gone quiet, so expect no fixes or support if you install it.
Was Follow Adder a scam?
Nothing we read says it was built as one. It sold the same plans for years and offered a 14-day money-back guarantee in 2022. Doubts started early, though. Its 2022 FAQ answered "Does FollowAdder still work in 2021?" with "Yes! Followadder performs beautifully!" and blamed "unscrupulous competitors" for reviews saying it had stopped working. A Reddit user wrote on October 4, 2023 that the site "appears to be abandoned or run by scammers," though the page had been refreshed that August. What hurt users most was the end: the company left no notice we could find.
