Why can't bought followers reach a private account?
Because a follow to a private account is a request. Instagram's help center, as Google shows it, says: "If your Instagram account is set to private, anyone who wants to see your photos or videos will have to send you a follower request."
So an order sent to a private account turns into a pile of requests waiting for you. That's why sellers ask for a public profile. Going public lets everyone in at once. Instagram's page on professional accounts says: "All pending follow requests will be automatically accepted when you go public." That includes requests you meant to decline.
Switching back afterwards has its own cost. One help page is titled "Why you're limited from approving follow requests on Instagram." It says: "Accounts that repeatedly switch between public and private can create poor sharing experiences for others. This behavior is discouraged on Instagram."
So the old trick of going public for an order and private again right after is the pattern Instagram warns about. If you do switch, do it once, and stay public until the order has finished.
Can a business or creator account be private?
No. Instagram says "Professional accounts can't be set to private." If you run a business or creator account, it's public already, and an order can reach it.
Do bought followers stay if you go private again?
