How to Go Live on TikTok: The Rules and the Steps
TikTok LIVE needs you to be 18 with 1,000 followers, a number that can vary by region. The phone and computer steps, the routes under 1,000, and fixes.
To go live on TikTok, open the app and tap the + button, then tap LIVE. Add a title and tap Go LIVE. The LIVE option only shows once you meet TikTok's rules. You must be 18 or older, and TikTok asks for 1,000 followers, a number that "may vary across regions," it says. On a computer, TikTok's LIVE Studio app runs on Windows and macOS.

TikTok may check your age first. Its age page says "we may ask you to confirm your age" before you go LIVE. About 8,100 people a month search for how many followers it takes.
How do you go live on TikTok from your phone?
- Tap the + button. That's "the Add post + button at the bottom," as TikTok Support puts it.
- Tap LIVE. It's along the bottom, and you "may need to scroll across" to find it.
- Add a title. Teachable's guide adds that you can set up LIVE tools and moderation here.
- Tap Go LIVE. Your stream starts.
- End it when you're done. Tap End LIVE at the top, then End now.
How do you go live on TikTok from a computer?
Use LIVE Studio. TikTok describes it as its "official desktop tool for LIVE content creation," and it runs on macOS and Windows. Teachable names a second way: streaming software that sends your video with your TikTok stream key. Either way, your account needs LIVE access first, and the app won't let you stream without it.
Can you go live on TikTok without 1,000 followers?
TikTok offers two routes under 1,000 followers, and a lower number applies in some regions.

Join someone's LIVE as a guest. During their LIVE, "tap Multi-guest at the bottom, then tap Request," TikTok's help says. If the host invites you instead, you "Tap Accept on the LIVE invitation" and then tap Go LIVE.
Apply for LIVE access. LIVE Studio's help has a page on how to "apply for LIVE access" there. The process "depends on a creator's previous LIVE activity," TikTok's creator blog says. Teachable says the form suits streamers with a channel elsewhere, and that review "can take days," so it's worth applying early.
Some guides teach a trick instead. Sprout Social's page has you file a "Report a problem" request about a missing LIVE button while under 1,000 followers. The same page calls it "a bit of an honor code" itself. TikTok's help page says "Only creators who meet the eligibility requirements can go LIVE" on the app.

Check Restricted Mode first. TikTok says it switches off "going LIVE, and gifting on LIVE" for your account. If you meet every rule and still can't see LIVE, TikTok's page on LIVE issues is where to report it.
Can you buy followers to reach 1,000?
Many sites sell TikTok followers, and Hclout, the site you're reading, is one of them. TikTok's rules, as Google shows them, don't allow "the trade of services that artificially boost engagement or trick the recommendation system" on the app. TikTok also says it will "remove fake likes, followers, or other inflated signals" it finds.
