TikTok Coins are the money you buy inside TikTok to send Gifts to people on LIVE. One TikTok recharge page, as Google showed it on October 23, 2026, listed 350 Coins for $4.99. That's about 1.43 cents a Coin. A Rose costs 1 Coin, a Galaxy 1,000 and a Lion 29,999. TikTok says buying Coins on its website comes "at a lower price," and its Virtual Items Policy says "Coins cannot be exchanged for cash."

Where you buy matters more than the pack size. TikTok's coin page says you can "Buy or recharge TikTok Coins at a lower price, with more payment options and a customizable recharge." TheViewBot compared the two in September 2026 and put a Lion at "about $454 in-app / $311 on the web." In the US App Store, it listed 65 Coins at $0.99.

TikFinity says the Lion cost "29,999 coins as of September 22, 2026," and adds that "TikTok adjusts coin prices from time to time." "How much is a lion on tiktok" gets about 8,100 searches a month, more than any other gift question. A Rose is the cheapest gift, and wikiHow puts it at "one and a half US cents."
How do you buy TikTok Coins?
- In the app, open your profile. Tap Profile at the bottom.
- Open your balance. Tap the menu button at the top, then Balance.
- Get Coins. Tap Get Coins and choose a package, as TikTok Support describes it.
- Or use the website. TikTok's coin page lets you log in, pick a package or a custom amount, and pay there.
Coins bought in the app go through Apple or Google. TikTok's policy has a separate section for Coins bought "through the Google Play Store" when you "want to request a refund or cancellation."
How much do creators earn from gifts?
Gifts turn into Diamonds for the person on LIVE, and the exact rate isn't public. TheViewBot's calculator says it plainly: "TikTok does not publish the coin-to-diamond or diamond-to-USD rate." Most calculators assume a Diamond pays about half a cent, then they split on how many Diamonds a Coin becomes. TheViewBot and Hexeum count about 2 Coins per Diamond, so a Lion pays the creator "roughly $75." Elev8or says a Lion "pays the creator roughly $150." Treat any single number as an estimate.

Can you get free TikTok Coins or cash them out?
You can't cash them out. TikTok's Virtual Items Policy says "Coins can be used to purchase Virtual Gifts" and "cannot be exchanged for cash, or legal tender." Its European version says "Virtual Items cannot be exchanged for cash or used as currency."
Be careful with free offers. "How to get free tiktok coins" gets about 1,600 searches a month, and TikTok sells Coins in its app and on its own website. A site that asks for your TikTok login or a fee to "unlock" free Coins isn't TikTok.
