How to Stream on Kick: Stream Key, OBS Settings and Partner
Copy your Kick stream key into OBS, use Kick's own settings, set a title and go live. Plus mobile streaming, the 5-hour step and the Partner requirements.
To stream on Kick, copy your stream key and server URL from your creator dashboard, paste them into OBS, set your stream title and category, and press Start Streaming. Kick's help guide, updated May 22, 2026, walks through those exact steps. It works with "OBS (Open Broadcaster Software)," "XSplit," "Streamlabs Desktop" and "MELD." There's one step people skip, and it matters. Kick warns "If you do not set your stream title and category, your livestream may not start correctly."

How do you stream on Kick with OBS?
- Find your stream key. In your creator dashboard, click "Channel," then "Stream URL and Key."
- Open OBS settings. Click File, Settings, then Stream.
- Pick Custom. Kick's guide says to change the service to "Custom..."
- Paste both values. Paste the "Server" URL and the "Stream Key," then press Apply.
- Set your output. Use the settings in the table below.
- Set a title and category. In your Streamer Dashboard, click Edit Stream Info.
- Go live. Click Start Streaming in OBS.
When you're done, Kick says it "will then show your Viewers an offline banner, and your VOD will be saved to your channel page."

Kick's guide says "KICK supports a bitrate of up to 8,000 kbps," and to "make sure your bitrate settings do not exceed" your upload speed. NVIDIA and AMD encoders get their own presets on the same page, including "P6: Slower (Better Quality)."
Can you stream on Kick from your phone?
Yes, you'll need Streamlabs. Kick's mobile guide starts "Download Streamlabs Mobile," then "Enable camera and microphone access" and "Set up Streamlabs." A Reddit user's May 2025 steps match: "Download Streamlabs on your iPhone, create kick account and Streamlabs account, go to kick setting and find your stream key and URL."
What are the Kick affiliate requirements?
It's mostly about time on air at first. Kick's help center says "Stream for at least 5 total hours," and adds "The 5-hour streaming requirement is cumulative." Follower numbers for this step aren't consistent between guides. Kick Calculator's September 2026 guide says "5 streamed hours is the only rule Kick publishes."

You'll also need a verified channel, social links and a completed About section. Kick calls these numbers "subject to change," and says meeting them "doesn't guarantee entry" into the program. If you've got an audience elsewhere, you can try Fast Track, which Kick says its team reviews "within 24 hours."
Kick's partner page also sets rules for earning. It says "Avoid unoriginal content, manipulating views or any metrics." Partners who multistream earn "50% of your usual revenue on KICK."
