Facebook pays creators through Content Monetization, Creator Fast Track, Stars, subscriptions and brand deals. "In 2025, Facebook paid content creators nearly $3 billion from its creator monetization programs," Meta said in March 2026, and that was 35% more than the year before. Content Monetization is the main program. It's invite-only, and it pays for Reels, Stories, photos and text posts. Stars, the easiest to reach, pay a cent each.

We read Meta's March 18, 2026 newsroom post and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's October 12, 2026 guide through our server on October 23, 2026. Facebook's help pages refuse our reader, so their rules come from those two sources.

Meta's newsroom, March 18, 2026, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Facebook guide, October 12, 2026, read October 23, 2026.

"Facebook monetization" and "how to make money on facebook" each get about 33,100 searches a month.

How does Facebook Content Monetization work?

It's Facebook's main way to pay for posts. The Chamber's guide says it launched in 2024 and folded in-stream ads, ads on Reels and performance bonuses into one program. Meta says it "pays creators based on the performance of their content," with more weight on "original content creators" from here on.

Reels earn the most. In 2025, "60% of Facebook's total payout to creators went to reels," Meta says, and the rest went to Stories, photos and text posts. The Chamber's guide says Reels must be at least 10 seconds and Stories at least 5.

Meta also added three numbers to the dashboard:

  • Qualified views: views "that may be eligible to earn money."
  • Earnings rate: "approximate earnings per 1,000 qualified views."
  • Non-qualified views: why some views don't earn.

You can't sign up directly, since it's invite-only. Meta says you can still ask to join. In the Facebook app, open your Professional Dashboard, pick the Monetization tab, then Content Monetization, and fill out the interest form. "Facebook content monetization" searches are up 68% in recent months.

What is Facebook Creator Fast Track?

It's a program Meta started on March 18, 2026, for creators who already have an audience on another app. It gives "increased reach on eligible reels" and "three months of guaranteed pay," Meta says. Creators get $1,000 a month with at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok or YouTube, or $3,000 a month with more than a million.

The Chamber's guide adds a smaller tier: $100 to $450 a month for 20,000 to 99,999 followers. It lists the other rules, too. You'll need to live in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or Australia and be 18 or older. You can't have posted a Facebook reel in the past six months, and you'll need 30,000 video views in the last 60 days. Then you post 15 eligible reels across 10 separate days each month. Joining also gets you straight into Content Monetization.

How do Facebook Stars and subscriptions pay?

Stars are tips. Fans buy them and send them on your live videos, reels, videos, photos and posts. "Meta pays 1 cent per star, so you earn $1 per 100 stars," the Chamber's guide says, and payouts start at 10,000 Stars, or $100. To turn Stars on, you'll need 500 followers for 30 days in a row.

Subscriptions are monthly memberships, priced from $0.99 to $99.99. The Chamber's guide estimates you'll keep about 70% after Meta's fees, app store charges and taxes. You'll need 10,000 followers, or 250 return viewers plus either 50,000 post engagements or 180,000 watch minutes in the last 60 days.

How much does Facebook pay?

Neither Meta's post nor the Chamber's guide gives one fixed rate per view. Your own earnings rate, per 1,000 qualified views, shows up in your dashboard instead. Meta says the number of creators earning more than $10,000 a year on Facebook grew by over 30% year over year. The Chamber's guide is blunter about small pages: "many small businesses only make a few hundred dollars when they monetize a Facebook page."

How do you reach the follower minimums?

Stars start at 500 followers and subscriptions at 10,000, so growth comes first. Post when your audience is online, and lean on Reels. Our guide to the best time to post on Facebook covers timing, and our free Facebook followers guide covers the free routes. Hclout sells Facebook followers and Facebook likes, so weigh that the way you'd weigh any seller. Meta "continually evaluates follower growth, engagement, and content quality," the Chamber's guide warns, so keep that in mind on a page you want paid. Hclout's free tier gives 20 free Facebook likes on a public post, with no password, on the free page. A short Cloudflare check runs before each claim.
