How to Delete a Facebook Page, or Deactivate It
Switch into the Page, open Settings & privacy, find Access and control, then Delete Page. Facebook keeps it deactivated for 14 days first. Or just hide it.
To delete a Facebook Page, switch into the Page from your profile, open Settings & privacy, find Access and control, then choose Delete Page and follow the prompts. Facebook doesn't wipe it straight away. "We'll deactivate your Page immediately, but it won't be permanently deleted until 14 days have passed," its help center says. If you only want it out of sight, deactivating or unpublishing hides it without deleting anything.

How do you delete a Facebook Page?
- Log in and open your profiles. "Log into Facebook, then click your profile photo in the top right," Facebook's help center says.
- Switch into the Page. "Click See all profiles, then select the Page you want to switch into."
- Open Settings & privacy, then find Access and control. A Reddit answer from July 2025 and a June 2026 video both describe that path.
- Choose Delete Page, then follow the prompts to schedule the deletion.
A business Page is still a Facebook Page, so the steps are the same. Deleting a Page doesn't touch your personal profile, either. A September 2026 tutorial shows how to delete a Page "without removing your personal Facebook account."

Some guides give a longer window. A May 2026 tutorial post on Facebook says you can cancel "within 30 days." Facebook's own help page says 14 days for a Page. The 30 days applies to deleting a personal account, so don't count on a month for a Page.
How do you deactivate or unpublish a Page instead?
Facebook offers both as softer options. "If you don't want to permanently delete your Page, but want to hide it publicly, you can also deactivate your Page or unpublish your Page instead of deleting it," its help center says.
Deactivating starts the same way: log in, open your profiles and switch into the Page. Then use the deactivation option in the same settings area. "Deactivating your Page hides it from the public, including people who follow it," Facebook says. It stays hidden "until it's reactivated again."

Watch out for fake help numbers
Searching for this brings up Facebook group posts that copy the steps and add phone numbers. One in Google's results on October 23, 2026 carried a number to call. Facebook's help pages don't list one, so don't call it, and never share a login code.
