How to Delete Pins and Boards on Pinterest
Delete a Pin from its menu, many Pins with Organize, or a whole board at once. Pinterest's own steps, what can't be undone, and the 7-day board restore.
To delete a Pin, open it, click the three-dot menu, choose Edit Pin, then click Delete and confirm. In the app, it's the three-dot menu, the edit option, then "Delete this Pin." Think first: "deleted Pins cannot be recovered," Pinterest's help center says. Boards are more forgiving, since you get seven days to restore one.

How do you delete a Pin on a computer?
- Click your profile picture at the top right and find the Pin.
- Click the Pin to open it.
- Click the three-dot icon and select Edit Pin.
- Click Delete at the bottom left.
- Click Delete again to confirm.
If you only want to change a Pin, you may not need to delete it. You can edit its title, description, link, board and comment settings, depending on the Pin. You can't swap the picture, though. "You cannot edit a Pin's image, video or audio contents once it's been published," Pinterest says.
How do you delete a Pin in the app?
Tap your profile picture at the bottom right and open the Pin. Tap the three-dot icon in the top right, then the edit option. Tap "Delete this Pin" or the trash can icon, and tap Delete to confirm.
A Reddit user shared a quicker way in November 2025: press and hold the Pin, tap the pencil icon that appears, and the delete option is there.
How do you delete many Pins at once?
Use Organize. Open a board and click Organize at the top, then select the Pins you want. Pinterest's help page uses this screen to move Pins in bulk, and Tailwind's guide describes the same Organize route for deleting several Pins on the app.
If you want everything on a board gone, deleting the board is faster. "When you delete a board, all the Pins on the board are deleted, too," Pinterest says. Move any Pins you want to keep to another board first.
How do you delete a Pinterest board?
On desktop:
- Open your profile and click the board.
- Click the three-dot icon next to the board name, then Edit board.
- Click Delete at the bottom left, then "Delete forever."
In the app, tap your profile picture, then Boards (Saved on a business account). Open the board, tap the three-dot icon, then Edit board, and tap Delete.
If you own a group board, you delete it the same way. "If you are the owner of the group board, you can delete it just as you would any other board," Pinterest says.
Can you restore a deleted board?
Yes, for a week. "After you delete a board, you'll have seven days to restore it in the Recently deleted section," Pinterest says. There's a catch: "You can only restore your board on desktop or Android." Business accounts can only restore on desktop.
On desktop, open your profile, click the Saved tab, and scroll to "Recently deleted boards." Click Restore Boards, pick the board and click Restore.
Should you archive a board instead?
If you might want it later, yes. Archived boards "will not show up in your public profile," and you can't save new Pins to them, but "You can unarchive a board at any time." You'll find them at the bottom of your profile, below your boards.
To archive, open the board, click the three-dot icon next to its name, and select Archive.
