Instagram Story Ideas: 50 Ideas With Polls, Quizzes and More

50 Instagram story ideas built on the stickers people answer: polls, quizzes, questions, Add Yours and countdowns, plus ideas for birthdays and business.

By Hclout Team6 min read

The best Instagram stories give people something to tap. Polls, quizzes, question boxes and Add Yours prompts turn a story into a two-way chat, and people are answering more. Metricool's 2026 study of 24.4 million posts found story replies grew 88% in a year. Instagram's own 2026 Stories guide says to "open the sticker tray, tap Poll or Quiz and customize the question and answers." Below you'll find 50 ideas we put together, grouped by what you're posting.

We read Metricool's study through our server and Instagram's help pages and guides as Google showed them, on October 23, 2026.
