When Does Spotify Wrapped 2026 Come Out?

Spotify hasn't announced a date for 2026 Wrapped yet. On October 23, 2026, its Wrapped page said "Keep playing what you love, and we'll get in touch when it's ready," with no day given. All ten launches since 2016 came between November 29 and December 6. The last five came on the Wednesday after U.S. Thanksgiving, and in 2026 that's Wednesday, December 2. That's our best guess, not Spotify's word.

Every launch since 2021 has been a Wednesday, and each was the Wednesday after U.S. Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving falls on November 26 in 2026, so the same pattern points to December 2. It's also the only Wednesday inside the November 29 to December 6 window this year.

"When does spotify wrapped come out" gets about 110,000 searches a month, up 308% in recent months, and "spotify wrapped" averages about 1 million.

When does Spotify Wrapped stop counting?

Mid-November. "Wrapped captures your listening from January 1 until mid November," Spotify's newsroom says, so it has time "to check the data and get everything ready for launch day." Plays from late November and December don't make that year's Wrapped.

The cutoff has moved before. Billboard and Newsweek once reported that only listening through October 31 counted, Wikipedia says. Then in October 2023, Spotify posted that "Wrapped is still counting past Oct. 31."

What counts in your Wrapped?

Spotify's December 2025 post explains the rules:

• A play counts after 30 seconds. Spotify counts it "once you've listened for more than 30 seconds."
• Top Songs go by total listens. A three-minute song and a ten-minute song each count once per play.
• Top Artists use a weighted count. Main artists get more weight than featured ones.
• Top Albums need most of the album. An album listen counts if you've streamed most of its tracks, and an even spread scores higher.
• Some audio is filtered out. White noise and nature sounds don't shape your taste, and neither does Private Mode.
• Offline listening counts. Spotify says Wrapped "includes all of your offline listening."

Want to keep something out of next year's Wrapped? Spotify's own tip is to use Private Mode, or to exclude a playlist or track from your Taste Profile.

How do you see your Spotify Wrapped?

When it's out, you'll find it in the Spotify app. Spotify's Wrapped page says to "Get the updated app to experience 2026 Wrapped at its best," so update the app before launch day. Its help center adds that Wrapped "may not be available to all users," since some features have eligibility rules.

What topped Wrapped last year?

Bad Bunny was Spotify's most streamed artist of 2025, Wikipedia's list of the most streamed artists says. It was his fourth year on top, after 2020, 2021 and 2022. The most streamed song of 2025 was "Die with a Smile" by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, with 1.7 billion streams.
