Jarvee was a Windows program that automated Instagram and other social accounts, and it shut down for good in September 2022. Its site still says so today: "We regret to inform you that Jarvee is permanently closed." The page adds, "All that remains is the blog." A BlackHatWorld thread titled "Jarvee permanently closed. Good bye fellas" is dated September 19, 2022, as Google shows it. The domain itself is still registered, to March 2028.

What was Jarvee?
Its January 2021 home page put it plainly: "JARVEE is a Windows based social media automation software." It promised to "Automate all your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Quora, Reddit, Tumblr and Youtube accounts." It also said it would "Grow all your social media accounts FAST and SAFE."
It ran on your own computer. The page said "JARVEE needs to run continuously on your machine, to do its job," and suggested a Windows server for running it day and night. Mac users had to run it inside Windows. New users could "test JARVEE for 5 days for FREE."
Why did Jarvee shut down?
Jarvee didn't publish a reason we could find. Its closing notice thanks users and stops there. The timing fits a long squeeze on bots, though. Instagram said in 2018 that it was "removing inauthentic likes, follows and comments from accounts that use third-party apps to boost their popularity." Its terms say you can't collect information "in an automated way without our express permission." Tools like Jarvee worked by acting inside your account, which is exactly what those rules cover.
One BlackHatWorld user, as Google shows it, didn't see it coming: "I didn't think they would shut down the business completely."
Is Jarvee still working?
No. The software stopped when the service closed in September 2022, and the site has shown a closed notice ever since. Old copies of the program can't log in to anything. About 1,600 people a month still search for "jarvee," but there's nothing left to download.
