The same 2018 announcement warned that accounts that "continue to use third-party apps to grow their audience may see their Instagram experience impacted."
What does "We suspect automated behavior on your account" mean?
It's a warning, and it names the stakes. As quoted on a forum in October 2024, it reads: "We suspect automated behavior on your account. To prevent your account from being temporarily restricted or permanently disabled, ensure that..." Guides on the warning, such as creatorflow's, point to actions that come "too fast, too regularly, or from a tool logged in as you."
