Can You See Who Views Your Instagram Profile?

No. Instagram's own topic page says it "does not let users see who viewed their profile" and that there's "no official list, notification, or setting" for it. What you can see is a number. On a business or creator account, Insights count profile visits from people who also viewed your post or story. Instagram Plus, the $3.99 subscription, adds more for Stories, and Meta says even that "does not give subscribers more information about other people's viewing habits."

The count lives in Insights. Instagram's Help Center defines profile visits as "The number of times your profile was viewed by someone who also viewed your post or story" in that period. It's a number, with no names attached.

Does Instagram Plus show who viewed your profile?

No. Instagram launched Plus on June 4, 2026, with features such as "Story Rewatch Insights" to "See how many times your stories were rewatched" on your account. Fox Business reported on September 27, 2026 what it does and doesn't do.

A Meta representative told Fox News Digital that the rewatch feature "does not name the people behind those repeat views" at all. Story Preview lets a subscriber look at a story without showing up on the viewer list. Meta said "people who post stories are shown a notice explaining that previews may not show up there" for them. In the US it costs $3.99 a month, and prices vary by country.

Didn't Instagram make profile views public?

A post on April 1, 2026 said so. It claimed "Profile views are now public" and that "everyone can see exactly who viewed their profile" on Instagram. Instagram's own topic page says there's no such list "even in 2026." Check Instagram's pages before you believe a new feature.

Do "who viewed my profile" apps work?

They can't show what Instagram doesn't share. If Instagram keeps no visitor list for you, an outside app has none to read. Many of these apps ask you to log in with your Instagram account first. The Help Center says to "Be careful before giving third party apps or websites access to your Instagram account" for that reason. Some pages even rank with a "top apps" title over an answer that says no.

How can you tell who's interested in your account?

1. Check your story viewers. That's the one list Instagram shows by name.
2. Read your Insights. Profile visits show whether your posts send people to your profile.
3. Watch who interacts. Likes and comments show who they're from.
