Can You See Who Views Your Facebook Profile?
No. Facebook says it doesn't let people track who views their profile, and apps can't either. You can see who viewed your story for 48 hours.
No. "Facebook doesn't let people track who views their profile," its help center says. "Third-party apps also can't provide this functionality." It works the other way too, since Facebook says it doesn't tell people when you've looked at theirs. What you can see is who viewed your story, for up to 48 hours after you post it.
We read Facebook's help center as Google showed it on October 23, 2026. Facebook's pages refuse our reader, so its words are quoted from Google's view of them.

How do you see who viewed your Facebook story?
"Tap Viewers in the bottom left of any photo or video in your story," Facebook's help center says. "If you don't see this, no one has viewed your story yet." You can check "up to 48 hours after you post it."
Meta's paid Facebook Plus plan adds to that list. It lets you search your story viewers by name and see how often a story was rewatched, The Verge reported on May 27, 2026, as Google shows it. Neither The Verge's list nor Meta's plan page mentions profile viewers.
Do "who viewed my profile" apps work?
No. Facebook's help center is direct about it: "If you come across an app that claims to offer this ability, please report the app." An app that promises a viewer list is offering something Facebook says no app can do. Giving it your login puts your whole account at risk.
Watch for fake help numbers too. A Facebook group post in Google's results for this topic on October 23, 2026 carried a phone number to call. Facebook's help pages don't list one, so don't call it, and never share a login code.
What about the page source trick?
Posts claiming a hidden viewer list, in the page source or elsewhere, keep going around. One Facebook group post repeats the claim that you can see viewers "through the source code," then answers it: "No, you cannot." Facebook's own line covers every version of the trick, since it doesn't let anyone track profile views.
How can you check what strangers see?
Use View As. Facebook's help center gives the steps: "Tap Menu in the top right of Facebook, then tap your name," then "Tap Options then select View As." You'll see your profile the way the public does.
If too much shows, our guide to making Facebook private covers your posts, your friends list and the profile lock.
How can you tell who's interested?
Watch who reacts, comments and views your stories. wikiHow's guide suggests the same, "noticing who comments" and reacts. For a public audience, our guide to creating a Facebook Page has the steps, and who viewed your Instagram profile covers the same question on Instagram. Hclout sells Facebook followers and Facebook likes, so weigh that the way you'd weigh any seller. Its free tier gives 20 free Facebook likes on a public post, with no password, on the free page. A short Cloudflare check runs before each claim.
