How to Cancel LinkedIn Premium
Cancel LinkedIn Premium the right way for how you paid: on LinkedIn, Apple or Google Play. When to cancel, what you lose, and LinkedIn's refund rules.
If you bought LinkedIn Premium on LinkedIn, click the Me icon, choose Premium features, then Manage subscription. In LinkedIn's Admin Center, open Purchases, pick your active subscription, click Cancel subscription and confirm. If you paid through Apple or Google Play, the route is different, and it matters. Cancel "at least one day before your next scheduled billing date" to avoid another charge, LinkedIn says.
We read LinkedIn's help pages on canceling, store purchases and refunds on October 24, 2026. LinkedIn's refund page had been updated the day before.
About 22,200 people search "how to cancel linkedin premium" each month.
How do you cancel Premium on a computer?
If you bought it directly from LinkedIn:
- Click the Me icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.
- Select Premium features.
- Click Manage subscription under Plan Details. LinkedIn sends you to its Admin Center.
- Click Purchases on the left.
- Select your active subscription.
- Click Cancel subscription under Actions, then Confirm cancel.
LinkedIn also notes that in "Germany or the United States, some subscriptions can be canceled without signing in," through a form on its help page.
How do you cancel Premium on your phone?
In the LinkedIn app, tap your profile photo, then Premium features, then "Manage your subscription." Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
There's one trap on iPhone. "If you purchased Premium on iOS through the mobile web, LinkedIn processes your payment. Cancellation must be done on desktop and not on the iOS app," LinkedIn says.
What if you paid through Apple or Google Play?
Apple App Store. Cancel in the LinkedIn app on your Apple device, using the same steps. Apple holds the billing. "LinkedIn can't provide any billing support for Apple App Store purchases, so you must contact Apple for payment inquiries and refund requests," LinkedIn says.
Google Play. You can cancel from LinkedIn's desktop site, the LinkedIn app, or Google Play on the web or your phone. On desktop, the path runs through "Subscription details" under Resources, then the same Admin Center.
When does Premium actually stop?
It depends on what you're canceling:
- A paid plan "will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle," so you keep the features you've paid for.
- A free trial "will end immediately, and Premium access will stop right away."
The trial rule has a catch. "If you cancel a free Premium trial, you won't be eligible to sign up for another free trial for at least 12 months," LinkedIn says. If you only want to stop the charge, cancel close to the trial's end, but at least a day before it bills.
What do you lose when Premium ends?
You go back to a free Basic account and "retain your profile, connections, and other data." What goes, per LinkedIn:
- Your InMail credits, which "can't be credited back"
- Extra insights on job posts and on LinkedIn Pages
- The full Who's viewed your profile list
- LinkedIn Learning
- Unlimited people browsing, so you may hit "the commercial use limit"
Discounts go too. "If you cancel a promotion or a plan that is no longer offered, you will lose your discounted price," and you can't buy it again. If the price is the problem, LinkedIn suggests downgrading to a cheaper plan instead, which works on desktop only. Our LinkedIn Premium price guide compares every plan.
Can you get a refund on LinkedIn Premium?
Sometimes. LinkedIn's general rule: Premium "may be refundable within 7 days from the date the subscription is charged without Premium usage," and "A previous refund may affect your eligibility." Local law can give you more.
| Case | LinkedIn's refund rule |
|---|---|
| Any country | May be refundable within 7 days of the charge, if unused |
| Brazil | Full refund if claimed within 7 days of the charge |
| European Union | Full refund within 14 days after the subscription begins |
| Denmark, Netherlands | Canceled with one month's notice, remaining period refunded |
| Germany | Same, except during the first year of an annual plan |
| Paid by SEPA direct debit | Claim from your bank within 8 weeks of the debit |
| Bought in the iOS app | Refunds come from Apple |
LinkedIn Help, "LinkedIn refund policy," read October 24, 2026.
The EU's 14 days start when the subscription starts. If you began with a free trial, LinkedIn says the 14 days begin on the trial's first day, so they've usually run out by the first charge.
Missed the cutoff on a trial? LinkedIn points you to its refund policy, which has a refund request form.
Do you need to cancel Premium before closing your account?
Yes. LinkedIn won't close a Basic account while a Premium membership is still active. Our guide on how to delete a LinkedIn account covers that, and hibernation, which cancels Premium for you.
