How to Recover a TikTok Account
Forgot the password, lost your email, got hacked, banned or deleted? TikTok's route for each: reset, friends verification, Need more help, an appeal, 30 days.
How you get a TikTok account back depends on what happened. If you forgot the password, reset it from the login screen. If you can't reset it, TikTok's help center says you "can recover your account by requesting verification from friends you are connected with on TikTok." A deleted account comes back if you log in within 30 days, and a banned one through an appeal.

How do you recover a TikTok account with friends verification?
TikTok's help center gives the start: "Open the TikTok app and tap the Help button at the top," then "Tap Recover your account," and follow the prompts. AwareXone's guide says to "ask at least two TikTok friends to verify you from the Recover your account screen."
Pick friends you actually talk to, and tell them it's coming. If that fails, AwareXone says to "tap Need more help in the app and fill in the form, which TikTok says may take up to 30 days."
What if your TikTok account was hacked?
Start outside TikTok. "Secure your own inbox and phone line first, because TikTok sends its codes there," AwareXone says. Then "Try every login method TikTok still offers." If the hacker changed your email or phone, go to friends verification and the Need more help form. You can also report it through TikTok's Report a problem form "under Account access or security, with screenshots of what changed."
Watch for a second scam. "TikTok never asks for your password or verification codes, so anyone who asks for them or charges to unlock the account is running a scam," AwareXone warns.

Can you recover a deleted TikTok account?
Yes, if it's within 30 days. "When you delete your TikTok account, you have a 30-day grace period to reverse your decision and recover it," Metricool says. "All you need to do is log back into TikTok using your original login details." After that, "your TikTok account is permanently erased and cannot be recovered." Can you recover a banned TikTok account?
Sometimes. It'll take an appeal. Metricool says the ban message "should have an 'Appeal' button you can tap." Explain your case and add any evidence. "If they determine the ban was a mistake, your account and content will be restored," it says, and strikes tied to the ban come off too.
There's no guarantee. Only TikTok can lift a ban, and "an account where the attacker controls every login method may not come back," AwareXone adds about hacked accounts.
