Spotify Blend: How to Make One
Make a Spotify Blend from Your Library or Made for You, invite up to 10 friends, and get a playlist of everyone's taste that updates daily. It's free.
A Spotify Blend is a shared playlist that mixes the music you and your friends listen to. It "updates daily with songs based on all of your listening activity," Spotify says. To make one on your phone, go to Your Library, tap the plus button, choose Blend, then tap Invite and send the link. You can invite up to 10 friends, and you don't need Premium.
We read Spotify's support page on Blend (updated June 9, 2026) and its newsroom posts on October 24, 2026.
About 12,100 people search "spotify blend" each month, and 1,300 search how to make one.

How does Spotify Blend work?
Spotify builds the playlist from everyone's listening, and it's refreshed every day. You'll see which songs came from which friend, Spotify said when it opened Blend to groups in 2022.
- Group size. You can invite up to 10 friends.
- More people. Others in the Blend can add their friends too. On your phone, tap the Blend, open the menu and select Invite more.
- Privacy. People in a Blend "will be able to see your profile picture and username," Spotify says.
- Your Blend story. Open the menu, select View Blend story, then Share this story. When Blend launched, Spotify described "taste match scores to see your listening preferences compared to your friends'."
Is Spotify Blend free?
Yes, it's free. When Blend left beta on August 31, 2021, Spotify rolled it out "to Spotify Free and Premium users globally." It said the same when it added groups in March 2022.
Can you Blend with an artist?
Yes, if they've shared an invite link. Get the link from the artist's social media, or from the Artist Pick playlist on their Spotify profile. Tap it, then tap Go to Blend. Spotify started artist Blends in March 2022 with 20 artists.
How do you leave a Blend?
Go to the Blend, open the menu and select Leave Blend.
