To delete a comment on TikTok, open the video, tap the comment button, then press and hold the comment and tap Delete. It works on any comment you wrote, and on anyone's comment under your own videos. "The comment vanishes for everyone immediately," Unpost's September 2026 guide says, and "TikTok notifies nobody." To find a comment you left long ago, open your Comment history in the Activity center.

We read Unpost's guide (September 17, 2026) and Shopify's (September 10, 2026) through our server, and TikTok's help center as Google showed it, on October 23, 2026. TikTok's help pages block our reader.

"How to delete comments on tiktok" gets about 4,400 searches a month, and "how to see your comments on tiktok" another 4,400.

How do you delete a comment on TikTok?

TikTok's help center covers "a comment you posted or on your post" the same way:

  1. Open the video and tap the Comments button on the side.
  2. Find the comment and press and hold it.
  3. Tap Delete, and confirm if TikTok asks.

On your own comment, the menu "offers Delete alongside Copy," Unpost says. On a video you posted, the same menu works on everyone's comments, "because TikTok grants the creator that control over their own comment section."

How do you find all your comments on TikTok?

Every comment you've left sits in one list. Unpost gives the path: "Open Profile, tap the menu button in the top corner, then Settings and privacy, then Activity center, then Comment history." Some versions call it Comments instead. The list shows "every comment you have left, newest first, each with the video it sits under."

Tap a row to jump to that comment, then delete it there. On newer versions, Unpost says you can press and hold a row and delete it straight from the list.

Can you delete all your TikTok comments at once?

TikTok has no button for that. Unpost lists what's missing: "There is no select-all," "There is no search," and there's no date filter either. A Reddit user put it simply in 2024: "go into your activity center and click on comments, then click each comment, long press and delete."

Apps that bulk-delete for you exist. Unpost sells one, and it works by logging into your TikTok account and repeating the taps, at about a second and a half per comment. Its own guide calls the result permanent. Before you connect any app to your account, weigh what it can do there.

How do you delete many comments on your own video?

Use Manage multiple comments. Shopify says it "lets you select and remove up to 100 responses at once." Press and hold any comment on your video, tap Manage multiple comments, tick the circles next to the ones you want, then tap Delete and confirm. Unpost adds that the same screen can report or block the accounts behind them.

For comments you'd rather never see, filters catch them before they show, as our guide on turning off comments on TikTok explains.

Why won't a comment delete?

Usually the video went private. "If the creator hid or restricted a video you commented on, TikTok will not accept a deletion for that comment at all," Unpost says, so it stays in your history. If the video was deleted, your comment went with it.

There's also Hide. On your own video, it "leaves it visible to its author and nobody else," Unpost says, which can be gentler than deleting.

Can you get a deleted comment back?

No. "TikTok keeps no trash folder for comments and offers no restore option," Unpost says. If a comment matters, say as proof of harassment, it suggests you "screenshot it or request your TikTok data download before you delete." The person may also have seen it already. "The creator may already have had the original notification, or read the comment, before you removed it."
