Your Threads account is tied to your Instagram one, so restrictions earned through aggressive behaviour aren't neatly contained to the smaller app.

The same arithmetic applies on every platform. Engagement rate is your likes and comments divided by your followers, and traded followers add to the bottom of that fraction without touching the top. An account sitting at 10% can fall to 1% without a single real follower leaving.
